gem's seminar series continues despite Eyjafjallajokull

Despite the ash cloud and flight cancellations, gem continued their successful seminar series with the Social Media Breakfast Briefing, in Fitzwilliam Hall on Thursday 22nd April in Dublin. The event was attended by a number of key national & international companies including Gamestop, KPMG, Meteor, Paddy Power, UPC & Ulster Bank.
Krishna De, renowned Social Media Author & Speaker, got the morning started with "The Social Customer - 5 rules for relationship management in the age of social media". Krishna gave some great insight into how companies can use the power of Social Media to influence many parts of their business.
gem’s New Social Media Analyst Peter Doak highlighted the changes in the rapidly developing world of social media and how gem’s contact strategy is embracing this as an essential part of listening to customers. Peter went on to outline gem's 5 step plan for a social media strategy and the road map used to implement this for clients.
gem’s Business Manager Colm Teggart brought the presentations to a close with a case study of how gem clients have been adopting the strategy and how this is being used to enhance business analytics and customer experience.
The seminar concluded with a panel discussion on the current new social media trends and how companies are using it as a tool to listen to their customers.
