gem Shortlisted in Employee Benefit Awards 2010

gem's in-house employee discount scheme, Sapphire, has just been announced as a finalist in the Employee Benefit Awards in the category of Most effective use of a voluntary benefits plan.
Sapphire is a lifestyle lead discount scheme and aims to offer a reward for loyalty by providing staff with the opportunity to purchase items they need or desire at discounted prices.
The majority of all Sapphire discounts are provided by online companies, this allows gem agents the opportunity to empathise with the customer and truly place themselves in their shoes when an issue arises, this in turn means they can put right any problems they may have found. A happy customer means more sales, customer retention and increased productivity and profitability for the employer.
The Employee Benefit Awards is the only UK event dedicated to celebrating the excellent work being done by employers with their benefits.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 25th June at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
