Jonathan is an Account Director with gem, a leading provider of outsourced multi-lingual, multi-channel customer contact solutions. Born and raised in Ballymoney, Jonathan was educated at Dalriada School and then graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Masters in Geography. After university Jonathan spent five years living and working in the US where he started his career as a Technical Support Representative. There he quickly learnt the value and importance of providing good customer service, that and the fact that American’s love an Irish accent.
Jonathan loved his experience in upstate New York where he quickly progressed into a senior project management role. However he couldn’t resist the temptation to return home to friends and family and landed back in Belfast in 2003.
On his return Jonathan was fortunate to join gem as a Project Manager and is currently responsible for building and maintaining strategic client relations within gem’s key accounts including some global brand names. He also leads the Project Management Team tasked with implementing outsourced partnerships with new clients. Jonathan comments, “I owe a huge amount to the wise words and hard-working example of my parents and also to the fast-paced entrepreneurial environment created by the folks at gem for helping me develop in my career and to grow as a person”.
He enjoys nothing more than watching the Ulster rugby team on a Friday night at Ravenhill and kicking a ball with son Fergus.
