On Saturday 19^th November 2011 over 500 contact centre professionals gathered in Dublin for the annual Irish Contact Centre & Shared Services Award.  The awards recognise and honour those companies and people who focus on being the best and setting industry standards by providing an extraordinary customer service.

Acquisition Adds Social Enterprise Support, Expanded EMEA Service Delivery and Complimentary Customer Base

Fremont, Calif., - September 27, 2011 - - Concentrix Corporation, SYNNEX Corporation’s (NYSE: SNX) Business Services segment, today announced it has acquired gem.  gem is a European-based provider of customer contact solutions that supports a global customer base in 28 languages from locations in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Debrecen, Hungary.

Belfast, 12^th May 2011 – gem, a leading provider of outsourced contact centre solutions, is happy to announce that it has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the Business Process Services report by Gartner, Inc.

On Tuesday night, eight winners gained prestigious innovation awards for outstanding initiatives that transformed their operations both within and beyond the contact centre. The overall winner was Autoglass, with individual category prizes taken by Apex Credit Management Ltd, British Gas, gem, LV=, Portsmouth City Council, Shop Direct and Surrey County Council.

We are delighted to announce that our very own Lisa Kavanagh (Director of Business Transformation) and Colm Teggart (Business Manager responsible for the operational roll-out for clients) will be speaking at the Social Media Association for Business first meeting of 2011 on Tuesday 25th January at the University of Ulster. They will be telling the story of how we manage the outsourced social media services on behalf of our clients.

gem recently ran the 2010 atatouch Dragon Boat Race for their Charity of the Year: Macmillan Cancer Support. 13 teams took part in the day which also included family entertainment with face painting, balloon modelling and an owl display.

Despite the ash cloud and flight cancellations, gem continued their successful seminar series with the Social Media Breakfast Briefing, in Fitzwilliam Hall on Thursday 22nd April in Dublin. The event was attended by a number of key national & international companies including Gamestop, KPMG, Meteor, Paddy Power, UPC & Ulster Bank.

gem is pleased to announce that it has been listed in The Global Outsourcing 100 list at number 97 confirming it as one of the world’s best outsourcing service providers in its first year of entering.

gem's in-house employee discount scheme, Sapphire, has just been announced as a finalist in the Employee Benefit Awards in the category of Most effective use of a voluntary benefits plan.

Play.com, one of gem's clients, has been crowned the UK’s top retailer for customer satisfaction. the National Consumer Satisfaction Index (NCSI-UK) gave Play.com the highest ranking across all sectors of retail with a leading score of 88 out of 100.

The annual 40 Under 40 celebration of the young guns of Belfast is a highlight in the civic calendar, paying tribute to the new generation of Belfast champions.

On Wednesday 17th February 2010 gem celebrated its 10th Birthday.
